Still Eating Vegan!

I’m on my 10th day (well officially 11th since it’s after midnight) of pure vegan eating. As a matter of fact, over the past few days I’ve gotten myself down to eating mostly just fruit, rice and muesli. Muesli is a recent-found new favorite and I eat it soaked in unsweetened almond milk. Yum! The kinds I eat have stuff like oats, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, almonds, raisins, walnuts, dates, etc in it. My digestive system seems to be going through some sort of healing process (and I’ll leave it at that) so I’ve been sticking to eating one type of food at a time. Unfortunately the muesli mix I was eating that had wheat in it was causing me to have itchy skin, so I’ve discontinued it and am eating a wheat-free variety.

I have definitely been going through some detoxing!

One interesting thing is that when cravings start up, I am no longer indulging in them, so I am able to observe them more closely. I can now see what emotions and situations cause them to start up. One day earlier this week I was feeling very uncomfortable in my skin. I felt like I just wanted… something – anything, to make me feel better. Dairy, fatty salty foods, even alcohol cravings came into my brain. But I didn’t give in. I was feeling pretty awful for a while, but it passed. It made me realize that I really can transform those old habits.

I’m going away for the weekend down to OKC for a metaphysics event, so I probably won’t be updating here again until next week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Fruit Day!

We finally got assigned Fruit Day in my metaphysics class last week, so today is Fruit Day! For those of you who haven’t read previous posts, Fruit Day means we eat fruit every week on class day (which is Thursday for our class). When I get a bit further along in the lessons, there will be two fruit days assigned. (That won’t be for at least a few more months). It’s assigned for a variety of reasons, one being that it helps develop will power. Also, we explore intuition and telepathy in these classes, and eating fruit only for a day or more helps those powers/gifts to be even stronger.

So far today I’ve had this:

and

I plan to have some apples, cucumber slices, maybe a tomato or two, more juice and maybe a banana or two for the rest of the day. We are allowed to eat non-sweet fruits too like squash, peppers, pickles, olives, etc.

I’m going to try and extend my fruit day to three days… I will elaborate why more later. Right now I need to run to Whole Foods for some water… I am completely out of the purified water I usually get and had to resort to [horrifying] tap water today! Yuck!

It looks like I’ll be going up to the Healer’s Weekend a day early – next Thursday – and will be an apprentice. I’ll write more about that later. :)

Craving Fresh Fruits & Vegetables

Interesting… it is August 1st, the day I had originally planned to transition over to my ‘mostly veggie and fruit – high vibration‘ diet. In the past couple of days I haven’t thought about it much because it didn’t seem possible to switch over when I’ve been eating things like yogurt, chicken, etc.

However, all of a sudden today I began craving lots of fruits and veggies! Images of amazing vegetable salads, fruit parfaits and salads and lots of cut up raw veggies and fruit keep flashing through my mind. I started writing down some of the ideas and now I’m planning to hit up Whole Foods for some veggies and fruits later today. I have decided to make myself a large salad that I will keep in the fridge for about 3 days, and eat it as often as I can (with lunch and dinner, for example).

It almost seems like because I had intended to switch over to a high veggie/fruit diet as of today, my subconscious mind decided to lend me a hand and is filling my mind with all sorts of ideas and images.

So on that note, let me fill YOUR mind with yummy images of fruits and vegetables:

Anyone else now craving some fresh produce?!

Lots Of Fruit Today & Animal Healing Update

Cantaloupe

I’ve decided to make fruit the main food that I eat today. I’ll work a few other foods in around it, like veggies and maybe fish. I am having a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, cantaloupe and green tea for breakfast right now as I type up this entry.

So, yesterday I got to spend a lot of time with my niece and my sister’s dog. My niece is so awesome – she’s 12 years old and a left-handed Aquarius who loves reading and writing. (I’m a left-handed Libra, well, just left-handed when I write). As I mentioned in my last post, the dog (Sunshyne, pictured below) needed some healing because she had many ailments. I was sad when I saw her because she had lost weight since I’d last saw her, her paws (one in particular) was really swollen, she had nasty sores on her paws and the whites of her eyes were bloodshot. She had also apparently been throwing up all over the house pretty consistently.

When I do healing, I clear my mind, pray, then follow inner intuition on what needs to be done. So as I was sitting with Sunshyne yesterday, I received the message that the best thing I could do for her at that moment (other than pray for her and radiate love out to her) was gently pet her while keeping the stillest mind possible. You see, pets absorb our thoughts and pain – and our own thoughts and stress are [sadly] the cause of most of their ailments. However, they are wonderful caring spirits who basically come to earth for the very reason of being our companions, healing us and absorbing some of our pain. Anyway, I learned yesterday that it’s very healing for them to be in the presence of someone with a very calm mind. I’ve been learning how to still my mind (or at least calm it to only have very loving, peaceful thoughts) through my concentration exercises. So it was a great blessing to sit with her like that and good practice for me. I received healing within myself in the process, and Sunshyne finally stopped throwing up! She hasn’t thrown up since before I arrived there yesterday.

It appears however that one of her paws needs further medical attention, so we are taking her to the vet today.

So, bringing the topic back to food, I’ve been drinking a lot of Macha green tea lately. In fact, I’ve replaced my morning coffee with it and also have it with at least one other meal during the day.

Even though I’ve been eating chicken and dairy in the past few days, I still intend to start following my ‘high vibration diet’ fully on August 1st as originally planned.

Last but not least, I will be increasing my exercise program starting today. I have a short-term weight loss goal that I set a couple weeks ago that requires me to be at or below a certain weight by August 8th. To get down to that number will be quite a feat, so I have some work to do!

I’ve also committed myself to updating this blog once or twice per day for the next couple of weeks so I can stay consistent with my goals and healthy eating. So on that note, I’ll be back to update here later tonight – probably sometime around midnight!
